Anna Donaldson

Anna Donaldson is a heart-centred leader with a deep belief in the ability of people – when brought together in the right ways – to envisage and create a more just, joyful and balanced world.

Having set out on her career with an interest in ‘how people work’ (psychology), ‘how the world works’ (international studies) and ‘how stories shape our reality’ (journalism), Anna’s path of contribution was illuminated when she volunteered as a life story writer for older community members, and was exposed to the reality of isolation and exclusion experienced by too many older people in our society today. Anna was inspired to establish Lively – a social enterprise that reimagines how young and older community members connect with and support each other in today’s society. Through 10 years of deep engagement and co-design with older people, carers, families, young people and aged care providers, Anna became increasingly conscious of the deep cultural and systemic challenges around ageing in Australia, and recently passed on the leadership of Lively in order to establish Good Flock – a national network that aims to support a quantum shift in how we view, value and engage with ageing in our communities.
