Director Vector Consultants (Aus)
Judith Leeson AM
Judith has undertaken leadership roles for over six decades in early childhood education, early intervention for children with disabilities, and career development. With over thirty years’ self-employment as founding Director of Vector Consultants, Judith continues to empower marginalised and disenfranchised individuals and groups of all ages and stages of career development to identify and achieve their career aspirations and participate in a productive and inclusive society.
She has actively influenced public policy and project-managed Commonwealth and State initiatives for the implementation of projects and programs for career development across Australia. She served five terms as National President of the Career Development Association of Australia and was a prime driver in establishing Career Industry Council of Australia Incorporated, the peak body for career practitioners, and served two terms as the Inaugural President.
Judith’s vision is to contribute to the consolidation of a career development culture in Australia. She continues to influence public policy and the ethical application of the Professional Standards to ensure that all Australians have access to effective, evidence-based career development services.
In 2005 Judith was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia for services to the community, particularly through support for people seeking opportunity for life-long learning and career development. She has also directed her enthusiasm and energy as Ambassador for the Caring Futures Institute, and advocate for aging people as a member of the ARIIA Research Advisory group, the Meaningful Lifestyles Activity group and as a grants reviewer.
