Rural Locum Assistance Program

Rural LAP is dedicated to supporting aged care facilities in rural and remote Australia, particularly during sudden staff departures, annual leave, or while staff are undergoing continuing professional development (CPD) training. We efficiently provide suitable locums to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Funded by the Australian Government, Rural LAP operates with complete transparency—your healthcare facility only pays for the locum’s hourly wage, superannuation, and any applicable taxes for the leave period. To further ease the burden, we also arrange and cover the costs of the locum’s travel and accommodation.

Our program officers meticulously recruit, screen, and place highly experienced locums who are ready to contribute effectively from day one.
