Uncle Boe Rambaldini

Associate Professor, Boe Rambaldini, is a proud Aboriginal, Bundjalung man from the north coast of NSW.

He has worked in a range of positions in local, state and federal governments, the University sector, and private and non-government organisations for over 40 years, with the majority of these positions dealing with Aboriginal affairs.

Until July 2023 Boe co-led the Djurali Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research and Education Centre at Macquarie University. From 2017 to 2021, Boe was the Director of the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health at the University of Sydney.

Boe is the Cultural Lead in the Djurali Centre within the Heart Research Institute of Australia, and has collaborated with over 20 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services across NSW.

He is passionate about improving health outcomes for his people holistically and assisting non-Aboriginal Australia to understand the historical impact that has contributed to the poor health of Aboriginal people.

Boe has worked towards building a local and skilled Aboriginal workforce that will deliver a sustainable service that meet the community’s need and address targets in Closing the Gap.
